ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Christine. I’m a Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and Assessor who is passionate about helping children understand how they learn best and build confidence in their unique abilities.

Being dyslexic myself, I truly understand the strengths and challenges that can come with a learning difference, from the early years through to adulthood. I know how important it is for children to feel seen, understood and supported, and for families to feel reassured and informed at every step.

-

With experience as a Specialist Dyslexia Educator, SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator), and teacher across early years, primary and specialist SEND settings, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. My approach is rooted in compassion, clarity and individualised support, ensuring that each child’s unique profile of strengths and needs is fully understood.

-

I hold an MA in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia), a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs, and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO). As an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) with a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC), I ensure that all assessments meet the highest professional standards. I also maintain an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check and appropriate indemnity insurance, so families can feel confident and secure throughout the process.

-

Both as an educator and a parent, I understand the education system from both sides of the classroom door. I believe in working collaboratively with families and schools to create positive, practical pathways forward for every child.

Outside of my work in education, I’m passionate about the power of nature, music, Lego, and most importantly, cats!
